Kone MyScreen
KONE are the leading global providers of innovative solutions for elevator, escalator and automatic door installations. The company developed MyScreen, a high-resolution digital LCD screen with a management system.
The digital screen was designed for installation in building elevators, providing guests with a visual display of entertaining and informative content. The screen also provides guests with announcements and occupant information about the elevator’s current and upcoming floors.
surfacemedia worked with KONE to produce an interactive sales tool that could be distrubuted via CD-Rom and the internet.
Solution
Before beginning the design and development of the CD-Rom demonstration and presentation, surfacemedia worked with KONE to identify MyScreen’s key features and selling points.
This information provided basis for the structure of the presentation. It was established that the use of synchronised voice-over narration and animation would be vital in illustrating the system’s features and capabilities.
With a considerable amount of information placed into a relatively short presentation, it was important to provide users with pause, play and skip controls to allow them view and re-view the presentation entirely at their own pace.
