AbaF required a website that would extend the foundation’s role as the leading facilitator of arts and business partnerships into an online realm. The website would essentially provide AbaF’s clients with an online facility to seek networking and support opportunities.
AbaF engaged
RipeOnline, leaders in online strategy and community building, to produce the website.
surfacemedia was then engaged by RipeOnline to design the website’s interface.
Solution
Through a series of user centred workshops, RipeOnline identified and documented the functional and interaction design specifications of the project. This process involved working with AbaF staff to identify user profiles, user journeys and content requirements.
surfacemedia then worked with RipeOnline to develop the creative directon for the website's look and feel, and apply the creative to all functional pages within the website.
Well-considered user journeys provided the basis for the user
interface, which is bold and bright and which allows AbaF's branding to
remain central to the visual experience.
A sophisticated and highly customised Content Management System was integrated to allow the many features of the website to be self managed. To facilitate and encourage high levels of user interaction, Web 2.0 technologies were employed to facilitate the building of an online community of members from both the arts and business sectors.
The new website provides AbaF with an enhanced online vehicle to continue pioneering the networking and partnering of businesses and arts organisations.
