When Players' Edge asked surfacemedia to redesign their eCommerce website we jumped at the opportunity to help this unique suburban retailer find an online retail edge.
Solution
Surfacemedia's aim was to bring the Players' Edge Sports website in to 2009. After close consultation with the owner on the business's online brand objectives and considering core customer needs, we redesigned the retail experience and wrapped a smart, sophisticated and dynamic look and feel around it. We also designed new eNewsletter template and integrated it with a new eMarketing system, enabling Players' Edge to stay in touch with its customers on a regular basis via email alerts.
Key to the success of the project was carefully wireframing the new product shopping cart screens and iteratively testing them with the client before making programmatic modifications. This process provided the web development team with clear instructions for how screens should be laid out, and ultimately minimised the need for costly development changes on the fly.
